Replay repairs negate need for resurfacing

Repair work carried out by Replay maintenance has indefinitely delayed the need to resurface three 3G artificial turf pitches at a leisure centre in east London.

Active Newham recently required Replay Maintenance to carry out urgent repairs at one of its facilities, in what is saw as a likely temporary measure until it could find funding to resurface the area.

Following a full site inspection, 320m² of repair was carried out on pitch one, 160m² on pitch two and general re-stick repairs were carried out on pitch three, restoring each pitch’s safety and usability and negating the need for resurfacing. “It was evident that the surface appears to be in excellent condition, which far surpassed our expectations,” said Mark Bell, managing director of Active Newham.

Replay will continue its regular maintenance programme with Active Newham, as the leisure centre seeks to derive maximum usage out of the pitches. The quarterly ‘Replay Revive Plus+’ process involves a specially developed, single operator machine to remove contaminants from the infill of the surface.
